The aim of the project is to develop a pan Wales construction curriculum resource that facilitates and standardises an end to end offer, which is currently only undertaken by construction companies on an ad hoc basis.
The project will support teachers and careers advisors to contextualise the curriculum by developing curriculum support and guidance and will produce resources to support C&BE Welsh Baccalaureate challenges.
- Fast track new entrant trainees from FE construction diploma courses to home building

Fit out Futures is made up of three work streams:
- BuildBack - which will develop a routeway for employers to access a talent pool within the sector.
- FE to Employment - this enables full time learners to have work experience within the sector and to improve their employment opportunities. This work stream will build confidence for employers to offer work experience placements.
- The final work stream - 'Sector Engagement' will build awareness of the sector to ensure the sector is appropriately qualified. This employer awareness campaign will enable a greater take up of training.

Commission: Schools and employer engagement to improve the appeal of working in construction. The project will focus on inspiring students to consider the many different career opportunities to people of all academic abilities within construction educating parents, careers advisors and teachers about the construction industry. The activity will run across Wales and will focus on schools that are not currently engaged or increase engagement with those that are already engaged students will partake in a construction process over a 6-8 week period, during after school clubs. All resources and case studies will be made available on Go construct for wider use.

The project will extend the existing Special Upskilling Programme (SUP) in dry lining.
The purpose of this is to re-engage the unemployed with previous construction experience in the North East of England.
The projects objective is to encourage the target market to follow a career in construction to reduce the existing skills gap and reduce unemployment, by adapting the existing Specialist Upskilling Programme in dry lining to suit the needs of the client group.

Commission: Employer led training and employment pathways into construction for ex-offenders.
The project will reduce skills gaps and crime re-offending rates by working with construction industry partners and rehabilitation specialists to offer sustainable employment opportunities to serving prisoners and ex-offenders.
The project will develop an infrastructure to design, test and deliver long-term construction training and support for 400 businesses resulting in 60 sustained job outcomes by 31 March 2019.
The project will test the model in London in year one, include Birmingham in year two and Manchester in year three.
- Pathways to skills accreditation for hard to reach workers

Commission: School and Employer Engagement to improve the appeal of working in construction. The project will deliver a system of engagement between schools, colleges, Skills Development Scotland, Historic Environment Scotland, construction employers and careers schemes to address the issue of low aspirations to a career in construction. The delivery will include support for trade demonstrations, professional career events, raising awareness of construction to career advisors, onsite visits and computer simulations.

The Think Build project is a pilot programme adapted from the award-winning Think Logistics programme set up in 2014 as a partnership between several logistics firms and the charity Career Ready.
Its aim is to provide an effective method of employer engagement in schools. Industry volunteers deliver workshops to younger teenagers, leading to an in-depth programme of mentoring, masterclasses and work placements for 16-18 year olds.
