Visual Management Workshop Summary
This workshop is designed to demonstrate the benefits of using Lean visual management techniques through structured, practical sessions.
On-Site Workshop Format
- Workshop 1 – Initiate
The first session with employees introduces visual management through a quiz and practical site activities. Participants identify improvement opportunities and develop an action plan, which is reviewed and approved by senior management. - Workshop 2 – Check and Continue
A follow-up session to assess progress against the baseline. Participants review outcomes, share successes, and discuss how to sustain and expand visual management practices. Barriers and solutions are also explored.
Alternative Off-Site Format
If delivered remotely or off-site, the workshop can be:
- Shortened to focus on videos and group discussions.
- Adapted to include visual management activities in participants' home or work environments.
- Run in smaller sections or across flexible timeframes.
Remote participants are encouraged to:
- Select and photograph a relevant area (e.g., workspace or storage).
- Share their findings with the group.
- Create individual or shared improvement action plans.
This module is useful for managers, team members and leaders that are supporting or involved in Lean/improvement activities in the construction industry.
This standard is both practical and theoretical training, the practical element is 60% practical applied learning in the workplace.
