Roofing occupations

The suite contains National Occupational Standards (NOS) related to:

  • Roof tiler
  • Roof slater
  • Roof slater and tiler
  • Fully supported lead and hard metal roofing
  • Roofer and cladder,
  • Thatching and Solar collector roofer - access
  • Solar collector roofer - protection/handover
  • Heritage roof tiler
  • Heritage roof slater
  • Heritage fully supported lead and hard metal roofing and cladding.

Current structures

CITB manages the structures for vocational qualifications. We base the content for these structures on the relevant National Occupational Standards.

The structures are approved by employers and industry stakeholders. Training organisations base their courses on the structures.
