Our approach to managing ATOs
CITB is responsible for helping to develop and maintain standards and qualifications in the construction industry. We want to ensure that the training you provide is delivered and assessed to an industry agreed standard.
We also want to make sure that all the CITB Approved Training Organisations (ATOs) are consistent in how they treat learners and provide their services.
We have several policies that we expect ATOs to use and follow when providing these services. Our quality assurance team supplements this approach with occasional visits to check an ATO's training premises.
Learn about our:
- Conflict of interest policy which outlines how CITB will deal with potential conflicts of interest with an ATO, an employer or learner, and other awarding bodies
- Equality and diversity policy which spells out our requirements for ATOs to provide equality of opportunity, diversity and considerations for a learner's special access and assessment needs
- Anti-fraud, malpractice and maladministration policy which aims to protect the integrity, reliability and reputation of CITB ATOs and the related training products and services.
If you have any questions about these policies, please email ctdservices@citb.co.uk
