This 10-day course teaches how to safely erect, alter and dismantle scaffolding structures as part of a team.
It is for people who have worked on site for at least six months since passing the CISRS Scaffolding part 1 course.
You’ll get a CISRS Scaffolding Part 2 Certificate for passing this course.
Course content
The course includes:
- Safely erect truss-out, pavement gantry, loading bay, splay, protective fan, prefabricated beams and roof scaffolds
- Follow regulations governing the safe erection, inspection and dismantling of scaffolds and work methods
- Determine the truss-out, pavement gantry, loading bay, splay, protective fan, use of prefabricated beams and roof scaffolds in system or proprietary systems
- Statutory regulations (TG20 and BS EN12811-1) and the safe systems of work set out in Safety Guidance Note 4 (SG4)
- Practical setting of anchors for tie testing
- NVQ/SVQ portfolio building and practical assessment.

Entry requirements
- Passed CISRS Scaffolding Part 1.
- At least six months experience on site since passing the Part 1 course.
- Comfortable climbing up and down ladders safely.
- Able to handle scaffold boards and steel scaffold poles.
- Good spoken and written English.
