This five-day course is for non-scaffolders who may have to erect, alter and dismantle simple system scaffold structures within restricted environments.
You will learn on a specific type of system scaffold erected to a maximum height of six metres with public interface.
Passing the course grants the CISRS Basic Access System Erector (BASE) Card in the specific system scaffold product. We will apply for this on your behalf.
Course content
The course includes:
- Erecting independent scaffolds with:
- Return and platform extension brackets
- Loading bays (hop-ups)
- Ladder and stair access to a maximum height of six metres using the approved system.

Classroom-based theory and practical exercises
Written and practical tests

Entry requirements
- CITB Health, Safety & Environment Test passed within the last 23 months, or an accepted exemption.
- Comfortable working at heights.
- Ability to work well in a team.
- Good spoken and written English.
