This course teaches you how to promote positive attitudes and behaviour on site.
It is suitable for site supervisors, including foremen and site engineers with influence over construction work.
You will get a CITB National Construction College Certificate for passing the course.
Course content
The course includes:
- The role of supervision in developing a positive safety culture
- Identifying and challenging inappropriate behaviour and attitudes in the workplace
- Identifying the triggers for inappropriate behaviour
- Developing behavioural practices to enhance and support the existing safety culture
- Communicating effective and meaningful daily task briefings and toolbox talks.
Teaching and assessment
Classroom-based discussion, case studies, group work and presentations
