Interior Systems Installer

This apprenticeship course is for people who want to gain a vocational qualification in interior systems installation while gaining industry experience.

You’ll receive training in the theory of partition, drywall and ceiling installation, as well as enjoy comprehensive practical experiences in the featured categories of training.

This course is a suitable pathway for both Drylining and the Interior Systems Installer apprenticeship.

Course content

Teaching and assessment

18 weeks’ training delivered over 18 months

• Block 1: 2 weeks
• Block 2: 4 weeks
• Block 3: 4 weeks
• Block 4: 4 weeks
• Block 5: 4 weeks

Qualifications you gain

• Level 2 Interior Systems Installer  
• MEWPS IPAF accreditation
• Level 1 Functional Skills, working towards L2 (test must be taken)

Methods of assessment

You’ll be regularly assessed using a range of methods, including written assessment, practical assessment, verbal questioning and presentation, and multiple-choice testing. You’ll also be required to complete college-based and site-based activity journals. You’ll be given clear, direct and constructive feedback to enable you to make progress and successfully complete the course.

Mandatory entry requirements

Academic

Maths and English GCSE Grades 3-9 or D-A.

To help us assess your suitability for the course, you'll need to complete a skills learning exercise and possibly attend college for further tests.
